Dr. Zach Bruggen was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University for his Undergraduate work where he earned his bachelors in Animal Sciences and Industries, Spanish and his certificate in Equine Science. He attended and graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and then moved to Tennessee where he completed a year-long intensive equine internship with Tennessee Equine Hospital. After the internship he was hired on as an associate to help start and establish a satellite practice in Memphis, TN. In 2016 Dr. Zach decided to take a leap of faith a start his own mobile practice in Central, AR. Elite Equine has been operational since 2016 and has been serving horses and their owners all around the Central, AR area. Dr. Zach’s main interests are in sports performance medicine and reproductive work.
During his free time Dr. Zach enjoys traveling, duck hunting, riding his horses and spending time with his herd of highland cows.
Hey there! I’m Madison Smith, a proud resident of Central Arkansas for the past 8 years. Happily married and equipped with a 4-year biology degree. I’ve been dedicated to my work at Elite Equine for 7 years. Alongside my husband, we both share the love for barrel racing and recently we have embarked on a small-scale breeding program. It is fueled by our shared passion for horses and the invaluable guidance of Dr. Zach.
